Photographs of David DeGree at Cross River Heritage Center
The photographs of Dave DeGree will be featured until the end of the month at the Cross River Heritage Center. DeGree has been a photographer all his life. His favorite subject is northern Minnesota, and particularly the North Shore of Lake Superior. “I especially enjoy photographing those areas adjacent to Lake Superior,” he said. “Big waves, powerful waterfalls and delicate wildflowers are all to be found nearby. It is a great place to view through the camera’s lens.”
DeGree, a retired executive for a St. Paul graphics firm, lives near Little Marais and says that selling photographs is not his goal. “Rather, I wish to raise the awareness of those who come to the North Shore about the spectacular sights that are all around them here,” he said. DeGree has spent more than 40 years photographing North Shore venues.
The Cross River Heritage Center is located near mile marker 79 in Schroeder. Call (218) 663-7706 or see www.davedegreeohoto.com for more information.
