After only 2 wins last year and a 1-5 start to the 2012 campaign, the Vikings have rattled off 3 victories in a row.
Early lead gives Cook County easy victory over McGregor/Cromwell, 16-4. Cook County shut the door early on McGregor/Cromwell, capturing a 16-4 victory on Saturday at Arleigh Jorgenson Field. Nine runs in the first three innings allowed Cook County to put the game away early. An RBI single by Dylan Quaife and a two-run single by Joe Borud in the first inning and an error, a two-run double by Colin Everson, and an RBI single by Alex Murray during the second inning fueled Cook County's offense early. Quaife racked up three RBIs on two hits for Cook County. Cook County hammered McGregor/Cromwell pitching as six hitters had a field day, combining for 12 hits, 12 RBIs and 12 runs scored. Cook County survived McGregor/Cromwell's surge and put up two runs of its own in the third.
