"Light up a Life" tree shining at clinic/hospital entrance

On Thursday, November 29, community members gathered in the atrium of the North Shore Hospital for the Care Partners of Cook County “Light up a Life” event.  The poignant evening included holiday music and treats, shared memories and a lighting of a very special Christmas tree.
Care Partners of Cook County Director Kay Grindland welcomed everyone to the event and explained the meaning of the tree, which this year is inside the Sawtooth Mountain Clinic entrance. Each light on the tree is in honor of a loved one.
If you would like to spend some time in the atrium near the special tree of remembrance, the atrium is open Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturday, 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. . If you would like to donate to Care Partners in memory of someone, you can still do so by contacting Kay Grindland at (218) 387-3788 or at carepartners@boreal.org.
Donation forms are also available at Sawtooth Mountain Clinic and on-line at www.northshorehealthcarefoundation.org.
