Learn to Skate starts October 20

For kids new to skating or who could use a refresher, the Cook County Hockey Association is again offering a free “Learn to Skate” program for area youth, ages 10 and under. The program runs from 3:30 – 4:30, Mondays and Wednesdays, October 20, 22, 27, 29, and November 3. And 11:00 – noon, October 25 and November 1.  No registration or payment is necessary for the “Learn to Skate” program. A parent or guardian must be present at all times.  Direction and encouragement will be provided by hockey coaches, parents, and community volunteers.  Some skates will be available to use.

The “Learn to Skate” program as well as hockey practice will take place on the inside ice at the Cook County Community Center.
