Join the Beach Sweep this weekend

This weekend offers an opportunity for a fun and rewarding experience for the entire family. The Fall Beach Sweep, organized by local non-profit group Harbor Friends, will take place on the Grand Marais Harbor, Saturday, September 20, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.
This is a great opportunity to join together with family, friends and neighbors to help clean up the beaches and enjoy a morning by the harbor at the same time.
Volunteers of all ages and abilities are invited to meet at Harbor Park (look for the palm tree!) at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 20.  Harbor Friends will provide bags and gloves to collect the trash, and other items to help in the clean-up effort, including refreshments.
Starting at 1:00 p.m., singer/songwriter Joe Paulik will perform original acoustic folk music on the outdoor “Eight Broadway Stage” at Harbor Center in downtown Grand Marais. (between 8 Broadway Art Gallery and East Bay Suites).
