Grand Portage Lodge Openings
Grand Portage Lodge is seeking individuals that enjoy excelling in their customer skills. We have full or part time positions available in the following positions:
Front Desk Clerk(s): Responsible for check-ins, checkouts, reservations information and switchboard operation. Must have good math & communication skills. Starting at $8.00 per hour
Lodge Housekeeper(s): Performs routine housekeeping tasks such as making beds, replenishing supplies, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, trash hauling. Must be able to work independently or with others. Starting at $8.50 per hour.
Line/Prep Cook(s): Responsible for assisting in preparing and cooking all types of food on assigned shifts. Prior experience/training in restaurant cooking desirable. Starting at $9.50 per hour.
Snack Bar Attendant(s): Responsible for providing courteous and rapid service to customers by taking and serving food orders. Good math skills and must be able to work independently or with other. Stating at $9.00 per hour.
Dishwasher(s): Responsible for maintaining kitchen work area and restaurant equipment and utensils in a clean and orderly condition. Must be able to work well with others. Starting at $8.50 per hour.
Dining Room Wait Staff: Responsible for providing courteous and rapid service to diners by taking, placing and delivering food and beverage orders. Prior experience as a server desired. Starting at $6.25 per hour, plus tips.
Dining Room Host Staff: Coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and courteous service to patrons. Prior experience as a dining room server and good math skills desirable. Starting at $9.00 per hour.
Bartender(s): Mixes and serves alcoholic and nonalcoholic drinks to guests in the lounge and prepares drinks to be served by wait staff in the dining room. Ability to multi-task, good math and communication skills are desired.
Evening Dining Room Supervisor: Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in serving food from restaurant in absence of Restaurant Manager/Food & Beverage Manager. Works at all times with management in effort to meet and/or exceed customer’s expectations. Experience in all the different positions in the Dining Room and Kitchen is an asset. Must be able to work flexible hours, mostly nights and weekends. Ability to handle multiple priorities is desired. Must have organization skills, and communicate effectively orally and in writing. Stating $10.50 per hour.
Excellent customer service skills are an asset in all positions!
