Forest Industries offers educational website

Duluth-based Minnesota Forest Industries (MFI), the association representing the state's forest products companies such as locally owned Hedstrom Lumber, has launched a new website - www.minnesotaforests.com - that is filled with information of interest to both adults and school children. Included on the website are information about best management practices, timber sales, sustainability, trees' positive impacts on global warming, industry research and much more. A section dedicated to "Kids & Teachers" contains downloadable games and teaching materials, as well as an application form for teachers wishing to apply for forest education grants.  
The website also contains an area for ordering Papermaking Kits, Wood Kits, books, posters and other forest products industry materials.
