Line Cooks for Lutsen Resort

Lutsen Resort is looking for experienced full-time, seasonal Line Cooks. This position has the possibility of becoming full-time, year round. Culinary school graduate or similar experience preferred but will train promising applicant with limited experience. Menu composed of fresh seasonal ingredients with an emphasis on scratch cooking.  Must be able to understand recipes, cooking techniques, and instructions to prepare all menu items to Resort standards. Responsible to insure that proper health and safety practices are followed. To be successful, candidate should have a strong sense of cleanliness and timeliness. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and, occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. A great atmosphere for those wanting to take their culinary skills to a higher level.

Food & Beverage Director, Lutsen Resort

Seeking a Food & Beverage Director for historic Lutsen Resort in northeastern Minnesota on the north shore of Lake Superior. Hands-on management of day-to-day operations of upscale restaurant, pub and banquet services. Must have administrative skills to provide the necessary planning, direction, motivation, organization and control to meet Lutsen Resort goals and to deliver high quality food and beverage service to our clients. Must have proven analytical, financial and computer skills, with previous experience with point of sale software a plus. Previous Chef experience a plus as well. Must have experience managing front/back of the house of a high volume restaurant and overseeing group/banquet events and weddings.  Ability to live and work in a rural community critical. Requirements and Preferences:

At least one year of post-secondary education but prefer two years in hospitality major.
At least one year experience in Food & Beverage industry but prefer prior supervisory experience in Food & Beverage industry.
