Cook County Maintenance Worker II Opportunity
COOK COUNTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Maintenance Worker II. Primarily drives truck for the Highway Dept. to plow snow in winter and haul gravel in summer. Year-round position working 40 hours per week plus weekend and holiday overtime as required. Applicants must have a valid commercial driver’s license and prior related work experience. Salary range: $17.65 (Step 1) through $20.35 (Step 4) per hour, plus full county benefit package to include Health/Life/LTD Insurance; Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, and pension contributions. Cook County currently has one Maintenance Worker II opening, but applications received now will be saved for one year and used to fill any other vacancies that may occur during that time.

Someone who has retail/customer service experience in the outdoor industry and is up on the latest products/technologies related to the sports/activities/services our company offers. We are also looking for someone that knows or really wants to learn about all of the great recreation opportunities this part of northeast Minnesota has to offer.
Qualifications – Retail/customer service experience as it relates to the outdoor industry, solid computer skills, ability to multi-task. Must be physically able to lift canoes and kayaks when necessary.
Job Description – Primary responsibilities but not necessarily limited to: running a computerized register, answering questions about our products and services, checking in /stocking/ organizing inventory, taking reservations for rentals/tours, running shuttles, helping to keep shop and rental equipment clean/serviced.
