Public Health and Human Service Department
Social Worker. Provides Children’s Mental Health Case Management for assigned caseload and Child Protection Assessments. Works with a Lead Children’s Social Worker. Requires a Bachelor’s degree with a major in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology or closely related field, or a Bachelor’s degree in any field plus one year of experience as a Social Worker. Salary range: $19.67 (step 1) through $24.30 (step 15) a full County benefit package. Position works 40 hours per week plus occasional overtime on weekends and evenings as required.

Approved applicants must then sign up to take a written exam which is offered at different times and places around the State, including Cook County on 03/05/2014

Delivers excellent service to all members, guests, and program participants. Responds to member and guest needs, promotes memberships and programs, and maintains cleanliness and organization of the lobby area.
1. Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the branch and on the phone, contributing to member retention.
2. Interviews and tours prospective members.
3. Builds relationships with members; helps members connect with one another and to the YMCA.
4. Handles and resolves membership concerns and informs supervisor of unusual situations or unresolved issues.
5. Applies all YMCA policies.
6. Monitors facility and addresses any issues as needed.

The Cook County North Shore Hospital and Care Center Home Health Department has up to 64 hours a pay period available.

Grand Portage Day Care Center is looking for Caregivers that are responsible for providing care for children. Implement early childhood activities as directed and provide basic care such as naps, diaper changing, toilet training and feeding and any other job related duties as may be assigned by the supervisors(s).
Must have graduated from high school or have a general education degree. Prior experience working with children desirable. Must be able to work independently and as a team.
