Laundry Staff - Lutsen Resort

Laundry

Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior is seeking a full-time, year-round laundry staff. The primary function of this position is to make sure all of the housekeeping and dining room laundry are cleaned in a timely manner. The laundry staff is accountable for effective and efficient use of laundry chemicals and machinery, maintaining laundry cleanliness standards and monitoring laundry needs. Duties include doing laundry for resort and restaurant, shared between multiple laundry locations. Should be able to prioritize, work independently and enjoy variety in their day. No formal experience required, but 6 months of previous laundry work preferred. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Night Houseman - Lutsen Resort

Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior is currently seeking self-motivated people to fill two, full-time Night Houseman positions. The Night Houseman is on call to handle guest maintenance calls after 4:00 p.m. and is responsible for maintaining public spaces throughout the resort. Other duties include, but are not limited to: guest services, special projects assigned by Maintenance Director, and some janitorial work. Ideal candidate needs to be able to work independently and able to prioritize and multi-task with speed and accuracy. Strong work ethic and a high energy level are a great combination for this job. Lutsen Resort on Lake Superior is hiring a full-time Pantry Cook. The basic function of the Pantry Cook is to prepare food for our guests in the Lutsen Resort Dining Room and the Poplar River Pub by either working the prep, salad or dessert station.  The ideal candidate has basic cooking skills and the ability to understand recipes. Job Opportunity - Cook County Wetland/Land Use Sepcialist

                                  COOK COUNTY EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY

 

TITLE:  WETLANDS/LAND USE SPECIALIST

 

FUNCTION:   Provides professional technical planning assistance to the Cook County Land Services Director in administering land use programs.

 

DUTIES:   Typical duties include, but are not limited to, the following: 

 

Administers Land Services land use permitting. Administers the Minnesota Wetland Conservation Act.  Inspects sites and septic systems to ensure all ordinances and codes are being followed.  Gathers field data to be used for Zoning determinations.  Provides zoning information and makes zoning determinations.

 

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:  Bachelor’s degree in Land Use Planning, Physical Sciences or closely related field and/or Prior education/experience related to county planning/zoning activities. Possession of a valid driver’s license.  Physical ability to conduct inspections in remote, undeveloped areas as well as on construction sites.  Ability to interpret and explain complex rules and regulations.  Ability to maintain positive relationships with co-workers and the general public.  Good verbal and written communications skills, including report-writing.  General computer skills to include word processing and spreadsheets.

 

Additional qualifications desired:  Certification in septic system inspection, wetland delineation, and MPCA erosion control.  Experience working with boards and commissions.
