Qualifications:

  • Passionate about working with secondary students
  • Has or will achieve Business Education licensure in Minnesota
  • Experience with American Indian students and families preferred
  • Experience with low-income families preferred
  • Passionate and creative about preparing students for the business world
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently

Job Title: Youth Activities Instructor

Reports to: Cook County Youth Agency Coalition Director         Revision Date: 05/29/15

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides leadership, instruction, and supervision to program participants.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Builds effective, authentic relationships with participants and parents; helps them connect with each other and the YMCA. Encourages parent involvement and identifies potential volunteers.
Follows all YMCA policies, rules, regulations and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures. Completes incident and accident reports as necessary.
Act as role model for youth. Promotes and incorporates the YMCA four core values and character development
Carry out lesson plans in activities such as youth fitness, physical education, gymnastics, dance, or sports.

Child Care Lead

Job Title: Child Care Lead

POSITION SUMMARY:

Provides direction for the program and implements program curriculum in licensed daycare setting. Provides
a quality experience to children and parents that focuses on the YMCA values: honesty, respect, responsibility, and caring.  Assists with other youth programming.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Implements curriculum within the established guidelines.
Designs and implements daily lesson/activity plans.
Supervises the children and all activities.
Makes ongoing, systematic observations and evaluations of each child.
Conducts parent conferences, and maintains positive relationships and effective communication
with parents. Engages parents as volunteers.
Maintains program site and equipment.
Maintains required program records.
Attends and participates in family nights, program activities, staff meetings, and staff training.

ISD 166 Cook County Schools- Math Corps Tutor Position

2015-16 MN Math Corps Tutor Position

Approximately 20 hours per week (920 hours) at Sawtooth Mountain Elementary and Cook County Middle School

Minimum Qualifications

  • a high school diploma or a GED
  • You will be 18 years of age or older by your start date
  • You can commit to 11 months of service, 920 hours (part-time), including required training

Tutors receive a biweekly living allowance of approximately $272 for part-time members.

Tutors also receive either $2,865 which can be directly applied to educational costs, such as federal student loans, college tuition, educational supplies, etc. Tutors who are 55 or older may choose to transfer their education award to a child (including step-child), grandchild (including step-grandchild), or foster child.
