Assistant Guest Services Manager Job Opening at Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts

Bluefin Bay Family of Resorts is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Guest Services Manager. Position is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the Guest Services department to ensure excellence in customer service and efficient and profitable operations. Primary duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and providing leadership to all guest services staff.
  • Performing 3-5 manager-on-duty shifts per week and covering other shifts as needed.
  • Setting and enforcing standards of excellence for customer service.
  • Assisting in training of all new guest services staff.
  • Assisting with staff scheduling.
  • Investigating and resolving all guest issues and concerns.
  • Managing rental rotation and promo use programs as well as ski package and third party reservation inventories.
  • Appraising staff performance including assisting in the preparation of staff performance reviews.
  • Ensuring employees follow all company and department policies and administering employee discipline as necessary.
  • Assisting in creating and monitoring labor and supplies budgets.

Qualified applicants should have an associate’s degree or equivalent from a 2-year college/university and 1-2 years of relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Maintenance 1 Position Available

Maintenance 1

Lutsen Resort has an immediate position open for a full-time, year round general Maintenance 1 person. This person is responsible for stocking wood to units, collecting refuse and managing the recycling program. Also responsible for performing maintenance and repairs on equipment, systems, vehicles and the buildings and grounds of the Resort. Knowledge of automotive repair, commercial kitchen equipment, electrical, plumbing and carpentry skills are a plus but will train the right applicant. Previous experience in at least one construction trade with a preference to experience in the hospitality industry helpful. Must have a valid driver’s license. Individual must be able to take direction, be self-motivated and able to work independently with little supervision when necessary. Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and bend during the entire scheduled shift except for required breaks.  Must have full use of hands and fingers to feel objects, tools, and/or controls.  Requires normal sight & hearing.  Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Wage dependent on experience.
