Seasonal Parks Worker: Cascade River State Park

This position will begin in May and go through mid-October. This person will work five seven-hour shifts per week during the day and in the evening. Most shifts will be from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Weekends and holidays will be required. Starting pay is $14.37 per hour.

Responsibilities include:
1. Greet park visitors and disperse information on the park, park rules and regulations, and other local attractions.
2. Sell vehicle permits and register campers.
3. Sell various products (e.g., firewood, ice, merchandise)
4. Answer phones and radio messages.
5. Daily and seasonal custodial duties and maintenance.

Intermittent Parks Worker: Judge CR Magney & Cascade River State Parks

This position will begin in May and go through mid-October. This is an intermittent position so this person will fill in for other staff when they are not available or when we have special projects. This position will have at least two scheduled days per week and could work up to five days depending on need and the time of year. Expect five days per week and the beginning of the season for training and spring start-up work. Shifts will be both during the day (8:00-4:30) and in the evening (2:00 pm to 9:00 pm) at both Cascade River and Judge CR Magney State Parks. Weekends and holidays will be required. Starting pay is $14.37 per hour.

Boreal Community Media is looking to hire an Executive Director

The Executive Director is the key management leader of Boreal Community Media. The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organization. Other key duties include fundraising, marketing, and community outreach. The position reports directly to the Board of Directors.

 GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Board Governance: Works with board in order to fulfill the organization mission.

  •  Responsible for leading Boreal Community Media in a manner that supports and guides the organization’s mission as defined by the Board of Directors.
  • Responsible for communicating effectively with the Board and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the Board to function properly and to make informed decisions.

2) Financial Performance and Viability: Develops resources sufficient to ensure the financial health of the organization.

  •  Responsible for the fiscal integrity of Boreal Community Media, to include submission to the Board of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organization.
  • Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilization, and maintenance of the organization in a positive financial position.
  • Responsible for fundraising and developing other resources necessary to support Boreal Community Media’s mission.

3) Organization Mission and Strategy: Works with board and staff to ensure that the mission is fulfilled through programs, strategic planning and community outreach.
