In the spring of 1980, Howard Sivertson and daughter Jan gathered a few very talented regional artists in the harbor village of Grand Marais and Sivertson Gallery emerged. The first humble celebration was held in a tiny house on the East Bay. Invitations were printed by hand, Sivertson family fish cakes were served with good wine and home grown music, and fun was had by all.
The tradition continues with more of the best artists from the region, expanding the theme further north to the arctic, celebrating more art with many more dear friends and family and ‘soon to be friends’, all while enjoying the best locally caught smoked fish with prosecco and cheese.
The staff of Sivertson Gallery eagerly invites you to attend this very special Summer Solstice Party,
The 35th Anniversary of Sivertson Gallery
