The emergence of Carpenter Ants is always a sure sign of Spring .. Just after the Sap runs and the bears come out of hybernation, you can bet your bottom dollar we will be seeing Carpenter Ants in Cook County.
As you open up your cabin or start that Spring Improvement project, some of you will come accross these unwelcome tenants. The Large Black Carpenter Ant is native to almost all of North America but loves the climate and moisture we have here. Lots of trees, cabins, cool temps, water and food. If you are seeing them, it probably means you have a nest somewhere in the structure. If you want to get information about getting rid of them environmentally, give us a call. NSSPM provides a variety of affordable services designed to eradicate and prevent Carpenter Ants and other pests from taking up residence in your home or cabin. We are a local service, based here in Grand Marais, serving all of Cook County and eastern Lake County. We are Master Licensed wth over 40 years of combined experience in wood infesting organisms, flies and rodents. We are members of the National Pest Management Assoc and strive to be "Green" in all our applications.
NOTE.. Watch for the Spring Improvement Edition of the Cook County Herald. It contains some valuable coupons for your use.
Have a Great Spring and Summer
