All trails except our two backcountry multi-use trails (South Rim and Magnetic Rock), and Short Cut were groomed yesterday.  We have great options for Classic, Skate, and Backcountry style skiing.

For additional information and ski passes contact Gunflint Lodge, Gunflint Pines Resort, or Heston's Lodge.

The 40 miles of the Upper Gunflint Ski Trail system is maintained by the Gunflint Lake Trails Group, and we require an Upper Gunflint Trail Ski pass for usage.  Funds raised from these passes pay for land lease fees, and grooming expenses.  Passes can be purchased at Gunflint Lodge (218-388-2294), Gunflint Pines Resort (218-388-4454), and Hestons Lodge (218-388-2243).  All of these resorts are located on the South Gunflint Lake road.  Daily, weekend, week, and seasonal passes are available.

We have had a lot of snow over the last several days, exceeding the amount we had for the entire month of January.  All trails should be groomed by this weekend, except for the two backcountry trails (Magnetic Rock and South Rim).
