Ski Conditions are surprisingly good ranging from excellent on the Deeryard Loop to Good on the Pioneer/Ridge Runs.  Poor to fair skiing on Lookout Mountain--best as you get up in altitude.  Hall/Massie, Connector to Cascade and Deertracks/Whitesides all packed and tracked and skiing fair to good.  Still some very shallow spots near lake.  Ski down from Deeryard is open

Please see www.norpinetrails.org for the latest detailed grooming report.  We are working on the DYL system today.  Last night the connector from Caribou to the Ski Hill was groomed with a 2-4 inch base skiing fair to good.  Also groomed were the Hall/Massie loops and the connector to Cascade with a 1-2 inch base skiing poor to fair.  Updates will be posted on Norpine's site later this evening.

Priority Loops were groomed as follows: Deeryard Lake Main Loop--2 Track
Classic, Pioneer Loop--1 Track Classic. Very thin base on Pioneer Section.
Deeryard is much better base and will ski with fair to good conditions. Ski
down to Cascade can be done but be cautious as you approach the lake.

For you Extremists we have groomed per the grooming report found on www.norpinetrails.org.  We plan on picking away at the Pioneer loops behind Cascade Lodge as well as the River Loop this week as the weather cooperates.  Skiing is fair to good on Deeryard with similar conditions from Caribou to Ski Hill Road.  Some windswept areas on Hall/Massie and other connectors.

All trails west of Cascade River have been rolled and machine packed.  Trails are generally not ski able but with new 2 or more inches of good snow we should be able to start tracking and skiing!
