West End. The Good News. The firm base survived the rain. The Bad News it is rock hard and the rain also added more ice to ice flows and washed snow off spots on the trails. If we can get 1ʺ of snow the trails will be ski-able. See www.norpinetrails.org for more information. Always to this site as it is the first place updated with trail information.
Closed 2/21/17 due to warm conditions. Please refrain from using trails as you will damage the remaining base. We will re groom when more snow is received.
Deeryard and Pioneer loop have been re-tracked for the weekend. Please see www.norpinetrails.org for details.
All east end trails were groomed yesterday and are excellent. Please see www.norpinetrails.org for detailed conditions report and please support your local non-profit volunteer group by clicking on the join us tab or scanning in the QR code. These trails don't happen on their own!
Groomed up really nice even though we did not get much snow. My waxless skis seemed very fast in the cold fresh tracks. See www.norpinetrails.org for details!
Please beware that conditions are very icy in spots. Also, the long downhill run has a snowmobile track in it from a rescue operation performed by CC search and rescue. This cannot be repaired until we get new snow and colder weather.
West End Trails were cleaned up from snowmobile ingression yesterday. East end trails including deeryard lake are being left alone until the temperature drops down below freezing. There was a search and rescue crew that used the Deeryard trail with a snowmobile. Be cautious on East side and long downhill run.
All trails are open, groomed and packed powder conditions that are picture perfect. It may be cold, but it's worth it!

We opened up 20km with our snowmobile and tiddtech groomer single track. Decent skiing. See www.norpinetrails.org for a detailed report.
It's an inverse year! Skiing near the lake is better than out at deeryard since the lake trails have a firmer base and are holding their snow very well relative to the temperatures. Please see www.norpinetrails.org for a detailed report.
Trails have all be re groomed. Track setting is near perfect and the thaw did not hurt us at all. See www.norpinetrails.org for a detailed report.
Trails are in tip top condition with Pisten Bully set tracks. Please see www.norpinetrails.org for a detailed grooming report.
