The Thrift Store will be moving on Sunday, getting new merchandise marked on Monday and reopening on Tuesday at our new location!  All volunteers are welcome to help on Sunday at 1:00.

BAG SALE on all of our CLEARANCE Items!  Pick up a bag at the cash register and fill it up for $1.00.  We have clothing for the whole family, shoes, and a few household items!

The First and Second Thrift Store gets is merchandise from you, it is run entirely by local volunteers, all kinds of people buy our prodcuts, and we give our profits back to the Cook County Nonprofit Agencies that serve you.  A perfect partnership for progress!

We will continue to provide children's clothing and women's basics as well as personal shopping services, but.....through The Garage we have uncovered a wealth of locally made goods and people who are interested in upcycling, repurposing, restoring, constructing, crafting, sewing, and generally making the items we need and use RIGHT HERE IN GRAND MARAIS.

We are changing our mix to reflect our goal of generating supplemental income for residents of Cook County.  We have two entities making clothing locally.  We are giving new life to donated furniture and turning out cool NEW and REPURPOSED items. 

Our METAMORPHOSIS opens up some cool opportunities for YOU.
1. During the month of May we will be running a series of sales on our current merchandise – there are tons of NEW useful items of clothing in our inner sanctum and we would like to get those in circulation in the community instead of consigning them in the cities. 

2. We are looking for people who make things and are interested in selling them locally.  We also have two sewing machines available for rent and a readymade retail outlet for your products.

3. Spend your time creating and we’ll do the selling for you.
