Welcome. This site documents the work of the "Old Ski Hill" Consensus Committee. The committee is working toward reaching a consensus on specific recommendations for the development of a parcel of publicly owned land known as the "Old Ski Hill." The 600 acre property is located directly north of the city of Grand Marais.
The committee is a self forming body that strives to include all the interests and concerns relevant to the property. The committee is completely open to involvement by all, makes all decisions by full consensus, and carries no decision making power. Its goal is to deliver precise recommendations, reflecting a community consensus, to the Cook County Board of Commissioners and the Grand Marais City Council, the owners of the property.
