Wool – Making a Good  Thing Better w/ Larry Schmitt Free (bring a brown bag lunch) or register for a catered lunch, beginning at $13

Larry Schmitt teaches Scandinavian-style nalbinding, one of the many  ber courses in which the material of choice is most often wool. Larry notes, “I have come to appreciate through the lore of nålbinding what is special about wool.” Larry will share several and demonstrate tricks of the trade that can improve upon this already miraculous material, including making wool even warmer, transforming wool into a wicking fabric, improving the water resistance of wool, using shrinkage to best advantage, and taking advantage of wool’s a nity to stand out among all other materials.  ese techniques can be applied in a variety of  ber crafts.
