Essence & Design in Plein Air Painting
Sept 14-15 / $190
Essence: The intrinsic nature or indispensable quality of something. Design: An arrangement of lines/shapes created to form a pattern; to do with a specific purpose. In this class, we will chase the light and see beyond what is there, focusing on essence and design – utilizing and building on what nature gives us but not being a slave to it. Taught en plein air (outdoors), students may work in their medium of choice. Composition, values, and temperatures will be addressed.
