Do I need to create a calendar account?
If you're an active Boreal member, you do not need to create a separate calendar account. You can use your Boreal email address and password to log into the system.

What's the advantage of logging in with my Boreal email address, rather than using a non-member calendar account?
While a non-member account can view and add events to a calendar, you must log in with a valid Boreal email address in order to create your own calendars.

Where do I go to set my default calendar?
Go to your Account settings.

Where do I go to get events from my personal calendar to show up in the list of events on the Boreal home page?
Go to your calendar view for the calendar you want to see. See Create Your Own Personal View of a Calendar for more information.

I checked that I want my personal calendar's events to show up on the Boreal home page, but they're not there! Where are they?
You must log into the Boreal website to see these events. If you're not logged into the Boreal site, the website doesn't know who you are so it doesn't know whose events to display.

I added an event to the calendar, but it's not showing up! Did it work?
You probably are adding the event to a moderated calendar. These events won't show up on the calendar until the moderator goes in and approves them. To see if your event is awaiting approval, log into the system using the same username and password you used to add the event, and click the Unapproved Events link in the left sidebar. If you have events that are waiting for someone to approve them, they'll show up here.
