Near-critical fire weather conditions today

Continuing dry conditions with additional gusty winds will lead to near critical fire weather conditions today. A Red Flag Warning may be needed. Check burning restrictions today.

From warm and dry, to thunderstorms, to frost! We will see a few seasons of weather today. Near critical fire weather conditions are expected across northeastern Minnesota, while portions of northwest Wisconsin will see afternoon showers and thunderstorms with the possibility of a couple storms being strong to severe. Then temperatures will dip into the mid 30s tonight across the Iron Range and Arrowhead will likely lead to frosty conditions overnight.
