The 6th Judicial District, in collaboration with Cook County Public Health and Human Services and the Cook County Attorney, is hosting a warrant resolution event on Saturday, April 27 from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Cook County Courthouse.  This will be the first time this event has ever happened in Cook County.

A warrant resolution event offers several benefits to those looking to clear up a warrant. Some of the benefits include a safe environment with low-level warrants to address them without the threat of going to jail. Individuals can meet with a public defender who can properly advise them of their case status. A warrant resolution event also helps to reduce the disproportionate impact of the warrant system on marginalized communities.

To find information on your case or who your attorney is, you can access your records at https://mncourts.gov/access-case-records.aspx. If you would like to speak directly to a public defender, you can contact the 6th District Public Defender’s Office at (218) 733-1027. If you have questions about the warrant resolution event or need to schedule transportation, contact Brenda Port at Cook County Public Health and Human Services at (218) 877-8551.
