The Minnesota Department of Transportation will close northbound I-35 and reduce southbound I-35 to one lane between 27th Avenue West and Garfield Avenue on Saturday, April 13. The on-ramp to northbound I-35 from 27th Avenue West will also be closed. Closures will occur from 5:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., as crews work to remove the bridge deck and install roadway signs over I-35. A signed detour for those traveling northbound will follow the Hwy 2 Bong Bridge to Superior and the I-535 Blatnik Bridge back to Duluth.
