The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued another update on the forecasted winter storm that is expected to arrive on Sunday. Confidence is continuing to increase that most of Cook County and Grand Portage will see 6+ inches of snow (93-94% for the county).

The confidence in 12+ inches of snow varies throughout the region. Most of Cook County has a 45-57% chance, while areas like Silver Bay down to Duluth have a much higher chance.

One major component that is predicted to come with this storm is wind. The National Weather Service is forecasting a potential blizzard for the North Shore on Monday and warns of potential power outages and poor road conditions.

The storm is predicted to move in on Sunday morning and last through Tuesday.
