From the National Weather Service in Duluth - January 27, 2024

We wanted to share a mid-winter outlook video that was created to discuss the abnormally warm winter we’ve experienced so far and what we can expect for the rest of winter and leading into early spring.

KEY MESSAGES
-------------------------
* It has been a very warm start to winter with well above normal temperatures and rain in December, followed by a period of some cold and snowy weather through mid-January.
* Temperatures have trended well above normal again, and this pattern is expected for the next approximately 1-2 weeks.
* Climate Prediction Center outlooks favor warmer than normal temperatures through the rest of winter and early spring with equal chances for above, below, or around normal precipitation.
