Two Celebration of Life events planned for Jeff Knaeble, beloved Gunflint Trail community member

Two Celebration of Life events have been planned for Jeff Knaeble, the beloved Gunflint Trail community member, Trail Center chef, friend, and family member. Knaeble died last week after hitting a rock on Poplar Lake while snowmobiling.
The first event will take place on February 3, 2024, at 1 pm in Blaine, Minnesota, at the Sgt John Rice VFW Post 6316. Family and friends are all invited.
The second event will take place this spring at Trail Center along the Gunflint Trail on May 4.
Since his death, friends, family, and community members have been sharing stories and memories of Knaeble on social media. A piece was written and published by Paddle and Portage earlier this week about Knaeble, including interviews with friends and family members, which can be found here.
