Disney Studios to release an Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) version Star Wars: A New Hope, voice actors needed

"Gi-ga-miinigoowiz Mamaandaawiziwin (“May the Force be with you”)! On Monday, December 18, 2023, Disney/LucasFilm Studios announced on Facebook that it will be releasing an Anishinaabemowin (Ojibwe) version of Star Wars: A New Hope. With project collaboration from the Dakota Ojibway Tribal Council and the University of Manitoba, the studio is looking for voice actors and script translators. All voice and sound recordings will take place in Winnipeg, Canada, while post-production work will be completed in California. 

The film has been translated into over 50 languages since its release in 1977, including one in the 
Navajo language. The Ojibwe version will be the second Indigenous language.
