Operation Family Christmas gift donations accepted through December 14

Operation Family Christmas, a program run by local Cook County resident Jes Rodne (who took it over from a group of women nine years ago), assists local families who may need a little boost during the holiday season thanks to generous donations from the community. Earlier in the season, families can sign up to be considered to receive gifts and donations in time for the holiday season. Although this deadline has passed, those who wish to help a family out still have time to do so.
According to Rodne, "All the tags are out at Grand Marais State Bank, North Shore Federal Credit Union (Grand Marais and Lutsen), and Security State Bank." During each location's business hours, community members can go in and select different tags to fill. All donated gifts must be returned to the bank/credit union the tag came from (the tag should be attached to the gifts) by December 14.
