Free meals for Cook County Veterans in two separate events on Veterans Day, public program on Friday

American Legion, Post 413 and American Legion Auxiliary, Unit 413 of Grand Marais are jointly sponsoring a Veterans Day dinner at Birch Terrace Supper Club on Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 4:00pm - 6:00pm.
The meal will be free for each Veteran and their spouse. Other family members and friends may attend but must pay for their meal ($22+tax). The dinner will include a roast beef dinner, cake, and coffee.

Shine a green light for Veterans
On October 24, the Cook County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution recognizing November 11 as Veterans Day, and also encouraging residents to honor the sacrifices of our servicemen and women by displaying green lights in the windows of homes and businesses during Operation Green Light which runs November 6-12. Public Veterans Day Program (Friday, November 10)
ISD 166 is hosting the 2023 ISD166 Veterans Day Program on Friday, November 10, 2023. The program will take place at 2:00 pm in the Cook County High School gymnasium. This event is free and open to the public. The guest speaker this year is CCHS alumni Ty Backlund.Free soup and sandwiches for Veterans and Active Military

Veterans Day Dinner at Birch Terrace Supper Club
Veterans Day Dinner will be held Saturday, November 11th, 2023 from 4:00-6:00pm at the Birch Terrace Supper Club. The meal includes a Roast Beef Dinner, Cake and Coffee. Veterans and Spouses are free. Additional Guests will be asked to pay $22.00.
