Please see below for a weekly update from the Cook County Highway Department regarding construction on 5th Ave.:

This week, 5th Ave. striping and crosswalks have been completed. Final clean-up is in progress along with lawn rough grading.

Signage is scheduled to be complete Thursday 10/26. Fine grading for sod will take place on Thursday 10/26 and Friday 10/27.

5th Ave. is scheduled to be reopened in its entirety this Friday evening, 10/27.

Sod installation will take place Monday 10/30, and the project will be complete. We’d like to remind residents that sod will be monitored through the rest of this Fall and reviewed next Spring. If any sod dies off over the winter, it will be replaced in the Spring.
