Boreal Community Media’s mission is “Keeping Communities Connected”, and in doing so, we are excited to announce that we are going to be hosting our 2nd Dessert to the Max event on Wednesday, November 15th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at the Arrowhead Center for the Arts in Grand Marais.

The guest speaker for this event will be Erik Torch, Executive Director of the Lloyd K. Johnson Foundation.  Erik will be speaking on the importance of non-profit organizations in Cook County.

Non-profit organizations that wish to participate can send an email to [email protected] to reserve a table space for this event.  Those wishing to participate will be asked to bring desserts for community members to enjoy as they visit each non-profit’s table.  Each non-profit can also bring information about their organization to share with the community members who are stopping to visit.

This event is being held to celebrate Give to the Max Day (which is November 16th) in an effort to bring awareness to Cook County nonprofit organizations. Community members can learn more about local nonprofits and make donations at the same time (all while enjoying sweet treats).

Each organization will be asked to donate a prize for the drawing which will be held at the conclusion of Erik Torch’s speaking event.

Due to limited space, please reserve your table early.  More details will be announced soon.

We hope to see you there!
