Bradley Craig Rude, born on April 8, 1948, in Duluth, MN. passed away on October 12, 2023.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Sandra and their loving children: Bradley, Kari, Jacob (Sarah), and Kristina (Ryan). His legacy lives on through his cherished grandchildren: Trinity, Rohan, Devan, Kayla and Ahri, sister: Carol Bergiund, and his faithful companion: Dusty. He was preceded in death by his parents: Christian and Agnes Rude, and siblings: Thelma, Alice, Shirley, and Jerry.

Brad honorably served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and later worked as a sawyer at Hedstrom's Lumber. He transformed The Harbor Light into a well known gathering place for the Grand Marais and surrounding communities. His journey led him to live in various parts of the country, including Rapid City, SD, Colorado Springs, CO, and Glendale, AZ, before returning to the shores of Lake Superior.

He was an avid fisherman, skilled woodworker, and had a deep passion for classic cars. His quick wit and humor will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A graveside memorial service to celebrate Brad's life will be held at Poplar Grove Cemetery in Grand Maris at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, followed by a reception at Up Yonder at Harbor Light. Please join us in honoring his memory and sharing your stories of a life well-lived.
