The Cook County Master Gardener Volunteers are seeking new members! Read on to learn more, then apply online by October 1st if you are interested in joining the group in 2024.
What is the Master Gardener Volunteer Program?
Master Gardener Volunteers come from all walks of life! They engage the community through gardening to promote healthy landscapes, healthy people, and a healthy planet. Volunteers all complete an online horticulture core course in their first year, then volunteer each year to educate, engage, and connect others with gardening.
Who can join?
The program is open to all adults! There is no specific gardening experience needed, just an interest, curiosity, and enthusiasm to learn. There is a fee to join, but we have financial assistance available, so don't let money hold you back!
