A sudden burst of torrential rain caused flash flooding in Duluth Monday night, with videos showing it created raging rivers of floodwater in parts of the city.

The National Weather Service said an estimated three to five inches of rain fell over the downtown area and potentially up to six inches of rain fell around Arrowhead Road in the St. Scholastica area.
