The Grand Marais Public Library invites the community to Reading Is Magic, a magic show that encourages youths toward a lifelong love of reading. Performed by Chaz Misenheimer, this free public event happens at the library on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 5:30 PM. Audience members of all ages are welcome.

Misenheimer has performed at the 2022 Tall Ship Festival in Two Harbors, North Carolina Museum of History, Reed Gold Mine State Historic Site, and Gateway Museum. He has appeared at festivals, playhouses, zoos, and public and private schools across the country.

His shows spark the natural curiosity and sense of wonder of his audiences, who experience a broad variety of sleight-of-hand tricks, mind-reading feats, and small-scale illusions. Chaz is a Cook County resident and substitute teacher at Sawtooth Elementary School.

The Grand Marais Public Library increases knowledge, inspires creativity, removes barriers, and builds community across Cook County. Learn about our kids’ book bundles, and free State Parks Parking Passes by calling the library at 218-387-1140, or visit online at grandmaraislibrary.org.
