Hazardous marine conditions today

North-northeast winds around 20 knots this morning will gradually weaken today, but waves of 4 to 7 feet will linger until this evening, primarily along the south shore of Western Lake Superior.
A Beach Hazards Statement is in effect for dangerous swimming conditions and rip currents today. Stay out of the high surf! If you are being pulled away from shore by a rip current, swim parallel to shore until you're out of the rip, then swim to shore.
