Cooler-than-normal temperatures expected this weekend have some folks wondering about frost. Nope, not yet. Our gardens have a few weeks yet! The forecast shows we may dip into the upper 30s in a few locations this weekend, but frost remains unlikely, and temperatures get warmer through most of next week.
The 8 to 14-day outlook probabilities favor near to above-normal temperatures as well.
Most locations in the Northland have a mean first frost date in mid to late September, but frost in August is possible!
