5th Ave. West Weekly Project Update

This week, the 5th Ave. project has begun the final closure of the intersection of 5th St. (CSAH 7) and 5th Ave. We’d like to remind the public to follow the signed detour route using 8th Ave. / MN 61 / Broadway Ave. Traffic is not permitted to use the North Shore Health / Sawtooth Mountain Clinic parking lot as a route to bypass the closed intersection.
Storm sewer is currently being installed from 2nd St. working north to 3rd St.
Bedrock blasting is scheduled to be complete late this week with sanitary sewer main 100% complete for the project by the end of the day on Friday.
Water main installation has been completed up to the 4th St. intersection. There will be a third and final shutdown approaching late next week. The shutdown is currently scheduled for 12:01 AM on the morning of Thursday, 8/31. This shutdown is planned to be complete by approximately 6:00 AM. Residents who will be affected will be notified using door hangers like the one pictured here approximately 48 hours ahead of time on Monday, 8/28
