The Cook County Youth Community Media Multi-Media Camp wrapped up last Friday at the North Point Youth Center in Grand Marais. The start of the week was dedicated to learning all about photography, and the second half of the week was all about videography.  In the second half, the campers broke off into two groups to create scripts, assign roles (acting, directing, camera operator, script supervisor, etc.), and then film the final films. On Friday, we edited the two films to create the final films for the Boreal Community Media Multi-Media Camp 2023.

The two groups each took separate directions with their films per their personal styles. One group created a parody film that was a little more serious, while the other group wanted to create more of a lighthearted prank film. Both worked out exactly how they wanted them to!

We wrapped up camp and celebrated the completed films with an ice cream party and then settled in to watch the final edits. The campers really enjoyed seeing everything they'd learned throughout the week come to life in their films.

Enjoy watching the final films yourself!

The Youth Multimedia Camp is a collaboration between Boreal Community Media, Cook County Higher Education, and North Point, who graciously opened their doors to be our "base camp" for the week.  We would also like to show our gratitude to the Cook County Coop for donating snacks and beverages to the campers this week.
