In conjunction with Grand Portage National Monument Rendezvous Days, the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa hosts the Rendezvous Days Pow Wow.
Pow wow grounds are drug and alcohol free

Friday, August 11th

• 10 am: Rendezvous Days Welcome (Great Hall Lawn) with Stone Bridge Singers Drum Group, Grand Portage MN and John Morrin, Grand Portage Tribal Member
• 6:30 pm: Old Timers' Softball Game
• 7 pm: Pow-wow Warm-ups Royalty Contest

Saturday, August 12th

• 8 am: Mixed Softball Tournament begins
• 9 am: Registration for Walk/Run (Health Services)
• 10 am: Flag Raising (Grand Portage Honor Guard)
• 1 pm: Grand Entry
• 2 pm: Bingo (Fire Hall Garage)
• 3 pm: Kyler Deschampe Memorial Mixed Turkey Shoot sponsored by Wally & Gail Deschampe
• 5 pm: Men's Horseshoe Tournament (ballfield)
• 7 pm: Evening Grand Entry

Sunday, August 13th

• 8 am: Mixed Softball Tournament resumes
• 10 am: Flag Raising (Grand Portage Honor Guard)
• 1 pm: Grand Entry
• 2 pm: Bingo (Fire Hall Garage)
• 4 pm Raffle Drawings

Hello! Boozhoo! Welcome to Gichi Onigaming Rendezvous Days!

We are happy to have you come and watch or participate in our annual Pow Wow. Please be respectful to the traditional song dances and ceremonies that may be taken place. Here are some general rules that may help you have a better understanding of what is taking place:

• Be respectful
• No Pets. Please and thank you
• Stand and remove headwear when asked
• Listen to the MC’s instructions as to what is going on
• Pictures are allowed at the appropriate times
• If you are unsure, ask those around you
