Cook County Co-op gives back over $58,000 dollars to local community in fiscal year 2023

In an email sent to members and shoppers on July 19, the Cook County Co-op announced that over $58,000 dollars was donated back to the local community in fiscal year 2023.
$31,000 of the $58k was from the Co-op roundup program, which is collected at checkup when shoppers have the opportunity to "round up" to the next whole dollar amount (or more). The organization that receives the roundup funds changes monthly and must be a registered non-profit in Cook County. To see the full list of parameters, visit: https://cookcounty.coop/community/
The organizations that were selected for fiscal year 2023 are:
Care Partners of Cook County
Cook County Schools Emergency Snack Fund (all four schools)
Cook County PRIDE
Empty Bowls
Grand Marais Food Shelf
Go Dog North Shore
Grand Portage Rendezvous Days
Hamilton Habitat
North Shore Health Care Foundation
WISE North
The remaining $26,000+ funds were donations from the Co-op in the form of gift cards, food, merchandise, and funds.
