Join Us for the Cook County Food System Network Kickoff Meeting on June 7

June 2, 2023 – The Cook County Food System Network is a partnership with the Northwoods Food Project, Cook County Extension, Cook County Public Health, and SHIP.

Food Project Mission:

The Northwoods Food Project connects, grows, and supports a sustainable local food system in Cook County, Minnesota from farmer to fork.

Food Project Vision:

A sustainable local food system in Cook County where:

  • Farmers and food producers can access land, knowledge, skills, and support to provide food locally.
  • All families and community members can find, afford, cook, and eat local food.


The theme for our June gathering is “Food Access in our Communities” and will include a facilitated panel discussion with local Cook County service providers and organizations in addition to opportunities for networking and open discussion.

Come early for snacks and networking at 12:30 p.m. transitioning into our official meeting from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Come for as much or as little as you are able! RSVP is appreciated but not required! Read more and RSVP to join us.
