Authorities thwarted a "human smuggling attempt" in northern Minnesota, finding 20 migrants — including a small child — hidden in two cars just south of the Canadian border. 

The discovery was made Thursday near Caribou, after the Kittson County Sheriff’s Office notified the Border Patrol that they had witnessed "multiple people walking south from the international border with Canada."
