Local Emergency Disaster Proclamation Process Presentation

– Minnesota Homeland Security and Cook County MN Emergency Management announced that there will be a Local Emergency Disaster Proclamation Process Presentation. The event will take place at 6:00 p.m. on May 2, 2023, at the Cook County Community Center, which is located at 317 W. 5th Street, Grand Marais, MN.

Presentations will be made on the following subjects:

  • Public Assistance - Learn who is eligible for State and Federal reimbursement.
  • Individual Assistance – Learn what private homeowners are eligible for.
  • Businesses – What programs are local businesses eligible for.
  • Flood Insurance – Are we eligible for Flood Insurance in Cook County?
  • Hazard Mitigation – What is it? Learn what funding Cook County is eligible for.

Spring Flood season is here. Please join us and have a chance to ask questions to Disaster Recovery Experts regarding the Emergency Declaration process, what funding is available and what costs are reimbursable following a disaster event in Cook County.
