April 17, 2023 – The Cook County Highway Department has issued a travel advisory for county roads due to slippery road conditions.

Highway Maintenance Superintendent Matt Nesheim stated that road conditions have deteriorated throughout the day.

“Our crew is still out, and staff will resume work in the early morning hours,” Nesheim said. “In the meantime, we encourage people to limit travel. If travel is required, please drive according to conditions, and carry an emergency kit with you.”
