The National Weather Service in Duluth has issued a flood advisory for Cook, Lake, and St. Louis Counties until 4am Tuesday morning.

Recent rain and snow are expected to cause minor flooding in low-lying, poor draining, and areas where river or stream flows are elevated.

Additionally, visitors to area waterfalls should expect snow and ice-covered trails, and use caution with slippery rocks, cliffs, and strong currents.

Finally, the National Weather Service reminds the public to "turn around, don't drown" when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
