Project overview:
Visit Cook County is searching for a local artist/designer to create unique designs that will be utilized on stickers representing the tourism associations of the Lutsen/Tofte/Schroeder, Grand Marais and the Gunflint Trail areas. 

Stickers will less than 3 inches wide or long and be great for water bottles, laptops, etc. – they will not be bumper stickers.

Please be sure to include “Sticker Design Proposal” in the subject line of the email. Submissions are encouraged from painters, illustrators, graphic designers, etc. (See Scope of Work for more information on size requirements depending on medium)

Scope of work:
Once artist/designer is selected for the project, they will be provided project direction from Visit Cook County staff based on feedback from a survey that went out to local stakeholders and create three unique designs, one for each tourism association area:

1. Lutsen/Tofte/Schroeder

2. Grand Marais

3. Gunflint Trail

Things to Know:

• Creativity is encouraged!

• For artists interested in creating a physical work of art (painting, illustration, etc.), they will be required to do their work on 8.5x11 inches (or as close as possible) canvas or paper – and then scan a high-resolution image of their work. Visit Cook County would take the high-resolution scan and trace it in a design program so that it can be saved as an EPS file for the sticker.

• Due to this required process, it is important that designs do not be too ornate. Tiny details will be potentially untraceable when transferring to an EPS file for the sticker.

• If design is done via a computer graphic design program, an EPS file will be required. 

 Timeline:

• Designer/artist will be selected by March 24.

• First round of designs due by April 7

• Second round of designs due by April 21 following any first round edits/feedback 

• Week of April 24-28: Order stickers
