The Cook County Community Fund’s Scotch-tasting Fundraiser and 2023 Grant Round Funding Application Open Now

The Cook County Community Fund is hosting its popular second annual scotch tasting fundraising event on March 31st at the Birch Terrace. This year’s theme is Scotch Whisky of Islay: The Sweet & The Smokey. Join David Coleman (aka Dr. Scotch) and Chris LaVigne, and the Trustees of the CCCF for a tour of the finest cuisine and scotch of Scotland. The evening with start with a social time, move on to a dinner of fine traditional Scottish pub food & dessert and conclude with generous tastings of six exquisite expressions of scotch. Reservations include a chance to win a Grand Marais Engraved nosing glass. Glasses will also be available for purchase during the auction. 

Tickets are limited to 50 guests and are $150 per person and can be purchased online at: dsacommunityfoundation.org/communities/cook-county. Guests must be 21. All proceeds go to the Cook County Community Foundation. Reserve your place soon tickets are anticipated to sell out. 

All proceeds go to the Cook County Community Fund to create grant opportunities supporting local programs that benefit local folks AND your support adds to an endowment fund that will continue to grow and support our community for years to come. The fund began in 2003 to enhance the quality of life for people in Cook County by attracting charitable gifts, making philanthropic grants and providing responsible financial stewardship and community leadership.

2023 GRANT ROUND. The Cook County Community Fund is now accepting applications from nonprofit organizations with great projects for the spring grant round. If awarded, these funds would be available beginning in July 1. Applications are due no later than 5 PM Monday, April 3, 2023.
