From the Superior Hiking Trail Association - February 23, 2023


The Superior Hiking Trail Association aims to help people take their first trip on the Superior Hiking Trail. If you are planning a "first" trip in 2023 (backpacking, trail running, day hiking, winter snowshoeing, etc), the group has a webinar for you.

On Saturday, February 25th from 10-11 a.m., the Superior Hiking Trail Association is presenting an educational webinar titled "Superior Hiking Trail 101."

In the webinar, former SHTA Trail Development Director and SHT expert Jo Swanson will share all the basic information you need to start planning a great trip, including guides and maps, planning your hike or run, campsites, safety tips, and more. Jo has thru-hiked the Trail and camped at every campsite.

The presentation will be followed by a Q&A, where you can ask Jo and other SHTA staff questions to help you prep for your 2023 adventures.

 

The webinar is free to attend. To support the Trail and cover the cost of producing our annual "People, nature, footpath" educational webinar series, a $25 donation is suggested. We hope to see you there!
